Status
Picking the radio, stretching the battery to a quarter-year, choosing the sensors, writing the firmware loop, drawing the chassis options — everything that has to happen before anyone touches a soldering iron. The package was handed over in late 2024, ready for prototype the moment Hoviv lines up the next round.
How it works
Off-the-shelf parts, no gateways, no Wi-Fi assumptions. The device finds a cloud from anywhere a cow can stand.
Connectivity
LTE-M + 2G · GPS
Cellular uplink and satellite positioning.
Sensors
9-axis IMU · Pressure
Motion and behaviour signals.
Cadence
One reading every 5 min
~100 bytes per ping over cellular.
Battery
3–6 months / charge
USB-C top-up, optional solar.
Industrial design
Each chassis option traded cost, speed-to-field, and how well it survives the weather. We costed them all and pointed Hoviv at the one that gets a working prototype out the fastest.

3D-printed, double-washer
For the prototype run. Iteration speed and waterproofing in one.

Silicon moulded
For production volume. Tooling cost up front.

The system design package was handed off to Hoviv in late 2024. The app side of the product is live at hoviv.am. The wearable build is queued for the next funding round.
